Together with the feeling of beauty, the problem arises of how to clean the wax from furniture, flooring and clothing.
To remove traces of wax from any surface, first of all it must be scraped off. Do this carefully so as not to damage the fabric, use non-sharp objects. Now we will consider each surface separately, since the methods of removing stains are different.

Candle wax on furniture and suede upholstery

Quite often, wax from a candle hits the furniture.

If the upholstery is made of suede, then the material is cleaned with a special brush for suede, after having wiped it with a warm solution with ammonia.
The upholstery of the sofa from suede is ironed with a warm iron through a thin paper, and then lifts the pile with a stiff brush.
If you dirty not furniture, but suede clothing, then you can hold it over the steam, and then brush it again.
It happens that the candlestick is overturned and the melted paraffin falls directly on the wooden table, on the polished surface of the sideboard or on the arm of the sofa. In this case, it is scraped off with a plastic card, scraper and the like. Then take a hairdryer, turn on for medium or low heating and melt the stain.

Strongly heat the surface of furniture can not, so it does not deteriorate. Toilet paper blot out the stain and polish the furniture with a fleece rag.

Candle wax on clothes and carpet

Remove the stains of the wax that fell from the candle to clothes, using a heated iron.

Take a folded several times a paper napkin and place it under the stain.
From above also put a napkin and a piece of flannel fabric.
Lightly heat the iron and iron the stain. The fat will melt and soak into the paper. As the contamination of the napkin must be changed.
For this process, you can use toilet paper, newspaper or tissue paper, in general, everything that absorbs oil well.
If the paraffin was colored, then after the removal of fat on the fabric there are colored traces. To remove them, clothes should be washed with laundry soap. Similarly, stains are removed from the tablecloth, which was lying on the festive table, and on which wax or paraffin got from the candle.

To remove stains from the carpet, they are covered only from above, because the thickness of the carpet does not allow the oily substances to seep to the other side. There is another way to clean the carpet. It is necessary to put not a spot from wax from a candle of ice cubes in a package. When the wax is very cold, it is peeled off the mat with a knife.

You can try to clean clothes from wax with alcohol or turpentine and wash with a stain remover. And for a particularly delicate tissue, apply a dish remover that dissolves fat. It must be applied to the stain and left for a few hours, and then rinsed with warm water. By the way, the same method removes stains from a pile of light carpet, but instead of detergent use special stain removers for carpets.

How to remove wax from a candlestick

If you need to clean the candlestick itself, then first pay attention to the material from which it was made. A candlestick made of metal can be lowered into hot water, even into boiling water. The influx quickly melts, and floats up, and when the water cools down, you will get a clean candlestick and pieces of wax.

Some types of stones and glass are better placed in the freezer, so that the wax is frozen, after that it will easily crumble.

To wax less messy you and your living space, try to use stands with a wide bent edge, put candles on saucers with sand or put in transparent glasses of refractory glass.
