Two of such common green and eco-friendly products are vinegar and baking soda. These two products may be used together or separately. They can also be mixed with natural products and are less toxic and are healthy alternatives for cleaning the home.
Baking soda is used effectively for cleaning pots and pans that contain baked-on residues. There is another alternative and that is pouring a cup of dilute white vinegar inside the toilet and allow it to soak overnight. Minerals clogging the showerheads is a common occurrence and it results in a reduced flow of water. Soak the showerhead by using a mixture of 1/4 of water and 1/2 cup of vinegar for 15 minutes. You may clean the soap residues from the loofahs after soaking them with equal portions of water and vinegar. You can use a paste of salt and vinegar for rubbing down sink fixtures.
You can use liquid detergent with a 1/2 cup of baking soda at the start of a wash cycle for a bright load of laundry. Dishwasher tablets do a dirty job, literally, when you do not see it. However, they not only help to bring the dishes to order. We write about the less common roles of dishwasher tablets.
Dishwasher tablets not only effectively wash dishes. They can also include eliminate dirt in the oven or restore the original color to white fabrics.
The dishwasher tablets of most of us are associated only with dishwashing. This is no discovery. One can discover, however, the unusual use of these tablets for other purposes. We provide where dishwasher tablets are still effective in our home and how useful they can be in everyday life.
Dishwasher tablet in the washing machine
If the white shirt collar has become unsightly, yellow, you can try to restore it to the previous color by putting a dishwasher tablet in the washing machine before washing. For she should whiten fabrics that have lost their color in this way, but also by dying.
By using a dishwasher tablet, you can also clean the inside of the washing machine. You need to put one or, preferably, two tablets into the drum and place the empty washing machine on the washing program. The center of the washing machine will be clean, there will be no stone, and a fresh smell will come out of the drum.
Dishwasher tablet in the fight against stains
It happens that stain remover or bleach are not effective in fighting stains on fabrics. You can then try the effectiveness of the dishwashing tablet in the dishwasher. For a stain (even from coffee or wine) you need to pour a little water and rub a tablet into it. After several minutes, rub the cloth once more and wash it normally. There should be no trace after the stain.
A dishwasher tablet in the sink
When fat, dried remnants and other types of dirt do not intend to disappear from the pan or pot under the influence of ordinary dishwashing liquid, pour warm water into the sink, put the tablet into the dishwasher and then place the dirty dishes in the water. The tablet will dissolve in water and it will be much easier to clean plates or bowls. If there is a sludge from tea, coffee or even from the water on the glasses, it will disappear just like the mentioned tablet.
Tablet for the cutlery dishwasher
If forks, knives, spoons and teaspoons have lost their shine, it is worth them to bring them back. You can use a special rinse aid for this purpose, and you can choose another way: use a dishwasher tablet. Fill the sink with warm water and throw a tablet into it. When it dissolves, you have to put the cutlery. A few minutes later, just wipe them with a sponge and dry them.
Dishwasher tablet in the oven
When the walls and bottom of the oven stick to the fat, the traditional washing liquid can not cope again. This is why, in this case, it is good to remember about the dishwasher tablet. You need to dissolve it in hot water and clean the oven with a rag or sponge in it. The tablet should solve the problem. However, wait at least an hour and then clean the oven completely. Similarly, you can wash burned sheets or cake rollers. In this case, however, it is worth first dissolving the tablet in hot water and leave it for about 2 hours.
A dishwasher tablet on the wall
The moment of our inattention and the toddler is already drawing on the wall in a room or other room. It is not always easy to remove traces of crayons or markers. It happens that paint also goes out with dirt. You can try to save the walls by reaching for a dishwashing tablet in the dishwasher. Dissolve it in a bowl of warm water and wipe the dirty surface with a damp sponge.
Dishwasher tablet in a trash bin
The fact that we put a sack in the kitchen, usually in the kitchen, put a waste in it, does not guarantee that the trash can be clean. You can see it after we remove the garbage bag. We can see stains, sometimes even mold, and a peculiar, bad smell. Warm or hot water will help clean the trash can. Pour water into the garbage can and dissolve the tablet in it. After at least a dozen or so minutes (preferably wait an hour), the water must be poured and the bucket rinsed. It will be clean and disinfected.
Dishwasher tablets in the toilet
When a sediment and stains appeared on the walls of the toilet bowl, they can be removed using a dishwasher tablet. You need to dissolve the tablet in the water in the shell and wait a few minutes, then brush the walls and the bottom with a brush, then rinse. It will be clean and disinfected.

There are a lot of stain removers in the stores, often highly specialized. One for stains from rust, the other for stains from blood and eggs, and others for example for juices or fat. It does not make sense to buy many stain removers. Most of the stains can be washed away in home ways. You will liquidate almost everyone with just the usual soap, acid or lemon juice and hydrogen peroxide. There is only one condition: do it before you throw the fabric into the washing machine. After washing, no persistent stain is practically removable.
How to remove stubborn stains
Fat. All you need to do is moisten the stained area with warm water, rub it well with gray soap (as a last resort it can also be perfumed) and leave it for 30 minutes. Then wash the fabric in the washing machine, on a program adapted to the type of fiber.
All colorful spots. With tea, coffee, juices, blood, ketchup, beetroots, etc. Soak with lukewarm water, sprinkle with plenty of hydrogen peroxide, lemon juice or citric acid dissolved in water (a pinch of 4-5 tbsp of water). Underneath, put a wad of cotton or lignin. Leave for 15 minutes, then wash the fabric.
Wax. Put the fabric in the fridge or cover with ice so that the wax hardens. Scrape as much as possible, then place a paper towel underneath, put the same on top and iron with a hot iron until all the wax is absorbed. If discoloration persists, do as with a colored stain.
Red wine. Sprinkle the wet spot with salt or talcum immediately. When the liquid is absorbed, rinse the fabric. If the discoloration is still persisting, pour more oxygenated water and leave for 15 minutes. Then wash the fabric.
Сitrus stains. To remove citrus stains (oranges, tangerines, grapefruits) – prepare a paste of baking soda and dishwashing detergent (1: 2 ratio). Using a soft brush, apply the paste on the stain and leave for 30 minutes. After time, rinse with clean water.
Chocolate. The remains of chocolate scrape with a knife. Rinse the fabric in warm water and then soak in a detergent solution with bleach. You can also eliminate dirt by applying a mixture of yolk and glycerin. After a few minutes, rinse with warm water.
There are enough tools to clean the stains at home. In addition to the above methods, you can use the popular stain removers, which include components that can remove many types of stains. The main thing you need to remember: the fresher the stain, the greater the likelihood that you successfully remove it. Therefore, do not postpone this troublesome case.

How to reduce the fish smell
Fish is a very useful product, and the characteristic smell is not a reason to refuse it. Fish can be fried, boiled, baked in foil under vegetables, cooked from it chops, dumplings and soup. To avoid catching the fish in the refrigerator, keep it in a closed container, wrapped in foil or frozen in a package. It is even better to cook it right away, brought from a store or from fishing, because fresh fish are the most delicious.
Before cleaning and treating the fish, keep it for 20-30 minutes in cold water with the addition of vinegar. Like acetic water, there is a beer. The fish in it seem to be marinated and subsequently fry almost without smelling.
There must be at least one knife and a board for the handling of fish products. This is very convenient because you will never confuse the kitchen utensils and, even forgetting to wash them immediately, save other products from the fish smell.
Washing hands and dishes
Many are concerned about how to get rid of the smell of fish on their hands. You can do this with lemon. Wipe with a lemon slice of your fingers and palms so they do not smell unpleasant. Lemon can be replaced with table vinegar or dry mustard. Mustard perfectly absorbs fat and foreign smell.
If you have smoked or dried fish, rinse your hands with a small amount of beer, and then wash with ordinary water and soap. From the smoked smell there will not be a trace.
The above methods will allow you to get rid of the fish smell on the dishes. In addition, there are detergents with the aroma of lemon. With their help, as well as using hot water, you can remove the smell from any dish. From forks and knives you can remove the smell, rubing them with a slice of raw potatoes, carrots or a piece of onion.
If you have only one cutting board, and you have cleaned the fish on it, then rinse it with hot water, in which salt is added. Especially the method helps for wooden boards.
Get rid of the smell of fish indoors
When frying fish in an apartment there is a characteristic smell. It can not be called unpleasant, but it impregnates all the objects and becomes obsessive. To remove it, use one of the following methods:
- Bring boiling water to an open pan and add 3-4 large spoons of vinegar, which will smell the fried fish.
- Instead of vinegar, boil some minutes of clove and lemon.
- Slightly fry the coffee beans on a dry pan. They spread a pleasant aroma in the room.
Burn the dry orange peel, then ventilate the kitchen.
- Even more useful tips – cleaning the apartment and house!
The ventilation in the apartment helps quite well, but if the fish flavors persecute you, then you need to do a thorough cleaning. Rinse the floor, wipe the furniture in the room with water, adding some flavoring detergent. Instead of detergent, you can use ordinary baking soda, dissolving it in warm water.
How to refresh the fabric
To remove the odor from the fabric will help the same vinegar. Soak clothes, a towel or curtains in warm water with the addition of vinegar. After an hour, remove them and remove them in the washing machine. You can add an air conditioner that adds softness to the fabric and a pleasant aroma.
Lucky those who have a steam cleaner or a vacuum cleaner. With the help of technology you can bring the perfect cleanliness in the apartment and make the air fresh.
There are tips to wash clothes with dishwashing detergent. If you decide on this, then wash only by hand. If you add a detergent to the washing machine, a lot of foam can form, which will lead to leakage.
Correct the wares from the fabric, rinse them several times. An extra rinse will make things fresh. Dry them in fresh air or in a well-ventilated room.

Unfortunately, over time through usage washing machines build up unwanted hard minerals, nasty soils, hair, mildew, and detergent compounds. These are not only unhealthy for the operation of your machine, but can also leave a nasty or otherwise unwanted smell, or even worse, residue on your clothes.
Many common causes of green or yellow staining on your clothing can be caused by mildew and mold buildup, and even make your clothes stink! While some detergents are specifically designed to clean out your washer during it’s next cycle, these products can be unreasonably costly. Rather, you might find useful taking the time to wash your washer by hand every six months to prevent unwanted smells and coloring.
The best way to clean your top loading washer is by setting it to the highest heat and cycle setting. Through adding white cleaning vinegar (specifically containing six percent acid) to the wash cycle you can renew your washer’s once clean smell and appearance. After starting your cycle, just hit pause, and get to cleaning! Using a soft rag or microfiber (even better) cleaning cloth to wipe the insides and outside of your washer should leave it looking clean and smelling fresh. You can use an old or cheap toothbrush to scrub down the inside, and a rag to wipe up any unwanted residue. Make sure to also clean out the intake dispensers, and then continue the wash after an hour of letting it sit in the cleaner. After this, turn on your washer’s cycle at its hottest and strongest. Doing this will not only wash away the current buildup, but also wash away unwanted smells and clean the interior parts that you can’t see—but still effect your clothes cleanliness.
Try to avoid leaving your washer lid door open unnecessarily, ensuring it’s always dry, and trying to dry out the insides as well during the more humid seasons to avoid bacterial growth or mold buildup.
One final tip: Stop mildew and mold by keeping the lid or door closed when not in use.
For Front Load washers use a similar method for cleaning, but also ensure the water is on the hottest setting. Also add a little bit more white cleaning vinegar, approximately 2 cups. Add a little baking soda (about half a cup) into the washer through the drum, and make sure you clean all rubber gaskets for the best cleaning results!
